BUILD WILDERLAND!

Dear Friends of Wilderland,

The people of Wilderland wish to express their profound gratitude for the continued support of many friends in New Zealand and around the world.

Funds for maintaining basic necessities for volunteers and farming are provided by the sale of produce through the Wilderland Shop and Markets. However, Wilderland relies on donations from supporters for funding development. We invite friends and supporters to contribute what they can to help Wilderland grow.

We approach our work with a focus on holistic learning experiences and long-term environmental benefit - with less focus on profit. We are happy with this choice, and seeing results developing in the land and in the people is a great reward.

Your help is priceless!

BUILDING UPGRADES

This year we we are on a mission to upgrade and replace building facilities and accommodations on the land. What is already a great place to experience a connected way of living can be enhanced with more facilities and buildings with improved function and aesthetics.

You can see from the “Wild-o-meter” (at the top right of this page) how much has been donated since October 2010. Our success is made possible by our collective efforts and contributions. Many Thanks!

There are many ways you can be part of this campaign and help the Wilderland Trust.

We aim to raise $200,000 to support the upgrade of Wilderland buildings. Any amount you choose to donate, large or small, will help make this aim a reality and you can watch our progress on our Wild-o-meter at the top of this page!

Outcomes using donated funds as of October 2011...

• Five residences and two cabins have been upgraded and approved by local government.
• Waiatarua house is next on the list and is currently having a new staircase and balustrade constructed
• An improved living greywater system has been added to the main hall facility.
• Dozens of nut-tree saplings have been planted around the land for greater nourishment in years to come.
• Dealings with local government, to legally establish the ongoing use of the land and the many unique buildings, is nearing settlement.
